Welcome!

BUSX 460 students:

Your completed Business Portfolio is due to be submitted to Professor Snow by the 6:00 p.m. the evening of the sixth class meeting.

As you create your Business Portfolio, be creative.  While I need you to include all the sections of the portfolio that I have outlined throughout this website, and you must develop and/or attach all the documents that I have samples and templates of, use your imagination and be yourself in how you assemble your portfolio.  Remember, prospective employers will read it.  Represent yourself well and be impressive.

Develop most of your portfolio from the perspective of  you, as an EMPLOYEE, NOT as a student.  This is the time to "switch mindsets."

Three platform options for creating your web site include:

1) Lycos’ Tripod     http://www.tripod.lycos.com/

2) Google Sties’    https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?continue=http%3A%2F%2Fsites.google.com%2F&continue2=http%3A%2F%2Fsites.google.com%2F&continue1=http%3A%2F%2Fsites

Or, if you want to use a different web page creator and hosting service, including any you are familiar with through TU, that is up to you.

  ------------------------------------

Create a Title page for your portfolio. Include your name and date.  Use some color, and add images sparingly if they add value to your portfolio presentation.

Briefly introduce the concept of a "business" portfolio to the reader.  (Remember, most readers have NOT seen a business portfolio such as this before.)

Write a couple of sentences about what a portfolio is about and how the reader can access the documents that you will attach.

Introduce your next  Web page, then provide a link such as...Now, please proceed to the next segment of my portfolio by clicking on Executive Summary of My Portfolio and Me

Be Creative and Innovative, but Professional
